This site is for reading. These twelve clauses cover what happens while you do: what you can take, what stays ours and our clients’, and what none of it promises. Plain English, no traps, short enough to actually read to the end.
By using thewingmanproject.com (reading a page, following a link, sending the contact form) you accept these terms. That’s the whole mechanism. There’s no box to tick, so the act of using the site is the agreement.
If you don’t accept them, the remedy is simple: stop using the site. We’d rather you stayed, but that’s the deal.
thewingmanproject.com is the public face of the wingman project, a creative services firm based in Los Angeles. The site exists to show you our work, explain how we think, and give you a way to reach us.
What it isn’t: an agreement for services. Nothing on this site (no page, no description of a discipline, no case file) is a binding offer, a quote, or a promise of results for your business. The terms of an actual engagement (scope, fees, deliverables, obligations on both sides) live in a real, signed contract between us. That document governs the work. This page only governs the website.
The Archive (§V) is a product available to active clients. Access to it is governed by your engagement agreement, not by these terms.
When you write to us through the contact form, you’re starting a conversation, not a contract. Sending the form doesn’t engage us, doesn’t obligate you, and doesn’t commit either side to anything. Until both of us sign an engagement agreement, neither of us owes the other anything beyond a straight answer.
One practical note: please don’t send confidential material through the form. Until we’ve agreed in writing to treat something as confidential, assume anything you submit is not.
Use the site for lawful purposes and don’t interfere with its normal operation. In practice, that means don’t:

You’re welcome to read everything, link to any page, and quote brief passages with credit and a link back. That covers nearly every honest use.
What you may not do without our written permission: republish pages or substantial portions of them, present our writing or design as your own, use our name or our clients’ names and marks in your own materials, or imply that we (or they) endorse you. If you want to use something beyond a fair quote, ask. We answer email.
The design of this site (its writing, drawings, layouts, and code) belongs to the wingman project. The work shown under Case Files belongs to the clients it was made for, and it appears here with their written permission. Metrics shown are verifiable. Quotes are from named sources.
Client names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Nothing in these terms or on this site grants you a license to any of it.
The information on this site is provided as-is and as-available. We work to keep it accurate and current, but we make no warranties about it (express or implied) including completeness, fitness for your purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
A case file describes what happened for that client, at that time, under those conditions. It is a record, not a forecast. Don’t make business decisions on the strength of a website (ours or anyone’s) without doing your own diligence.
Some links on this site lead to places we don’t run: client sites, press, platforms, tools. We link to them because they’re useful or relevant, not because we vouch for them. We don’t control their content, their terms, or their privacy practices, and we aren’t responsible for what happens there. Once you leave thewingmanproject.com, the destination’s rules apply.
Plain English: this is a free website that you browse at your own judgment. To the fullest extent California law allows, the wingman project isn’t liable for damages arising from your use of the site or your reliance on what it says, including lost profits, lost data, or decisions that didn’t pan out.
If a court decides we owe you something despite all of the above, our total liability is capped at one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations; where the law says a limit can’t apply to you, it doesn’t.
None of this limits anything that can’t lawfully be limited, and none of it touches a signed engagement agreement, which carries its own terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute about the site belongs in the state or federal courts of Los Angeles County, California, and both of us consent to that venue. That said, we’d rather you raise a problem by email first. Most things resolve in one reply.
We update these terms when the site changes enough to need it. When we do, we revise this page and change the filed date at the top: no silent edits, no retroactive surprises. The version posted here is always the version in force, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revision. This revision was filed 2026.06 and supersedes the version filed 2026.04.
